We were there tto collect IGCSE certificate, was ask to go between 10am - 4pm (strictly within the time given). We arrived center at 10.55am on Thursday, and was told they were going for 20 minutes break, we waited there since it was just 20 minutes, but end up they took 40 minutes. While waiting we called to the office phone number trying to ask the exact office hour as none mentioned about break time, apparently was told all operator was busy in the phone.. and the fact is no one pickup the phone !

The Service is downright poor! I mean because of good reputation and business is too good? I have been writing tons of emails asking about courses details and no responses for days. I sent email several emails before and same no response. Called in and the receptionist did not want to explain in details yet asked to send emails and again back to square one. This is by far the worst experience I encountered in education institutions in Malaysia.

Extremely disrespectful behavior of one your staff members at the registration desk towards the candidates. If it is a norm at your place then you are most welcomed to ignore this concern, else please guide your staff to treat candidates with dignity and respect, not to terrorize them with their insulting facial expressions and vocal tones.
Few candidates who encounter this kind of behavior from your staff can be minors by age and this kind of behavior is not acceptable at all.

No one from British Council Penang has reached out to me after my review as they have typed below in their comment but I do hope things are different now. We had an awful experience of being in detention centre kind of treatment during the whole testing. There are many other ways to gain and prove language proficiency where candidates are treated with respect.

The examiner British Council sent to Han Chiang for our IGCSE, are absolutely rude. There were some nice examiner but the head examiner is so rude. She accused us for speaking in the exam and threaten to report us even though the room was silent.She scolded a student for sitting in the wrong place even though she wasn't. She got frustrated at me because she couldn't find my seat.She also scolded a student because he accidentally brought a watch in, making a huge fuss out of nothing,it was an accident and he didn't mean too.

My son's IELTS result has been out for almost 3 months and he still cannot get the physical copy to enrol for his university. Wanted to collect in person, was told it has been in the vault to courier, no courier is received, several emails have sent and no reply, my son and I have been trying to call office for DAYS and no one is picking up, left messages and no one is returning our calls. How frustrating when application for university deadline is almost over !! What kind work attitude is that

One of the longest English teaching institution in Malaysia. Tuition fees is steep considering typical Malaysian income, but you get your money worth because teachers mostly from UK.
