Hi, I'm currently a student in Penang Free School. This school has the French subject but I heard that Form 4&5 won't have Computer Science. The teacher said that she will try to add computer science for F4&5 but not sure if it will be added

Oldest English school in Southeast Asia (founded in 1816 by Reverend Hutchings), it is the alma mater of many of the outstanding citizens of the country. Leading personalities like the first PM of the country, current sultan of Perlis, a former mayor of KL, former Chief minister of Penang, plague expert Dr Wu Lien Teh, famous sportsmen n many others passed through the august corridors of this leading school. Regrettably, it is no longer what it is. " Living on its past laurels" 'is an apt description. Many schools on the island have far bigger student populations n possess better student discipline now. The Titanic is moving inexorably towards the iceberg.

The name does sound great. Used to be a great school with good production results. Since govt took over fully...this place only produce trash to the society. Student are not ready to face reality. Disappointed.

Studied here in 1989 (Form 1) before i left to Victoria Institution, KL (family moving to KL). Had a memorable moments here. Missed my friends, don't know where there are now....

The best school ever that I had in my life and now I am still reading and loving the school to all the old free or ex-frees outside s come and support the school and make the school proud. Once A Frees Always A Frees.
