Seringkali melihat persembahan Arengetram (bharatanatyam). Since 2009 smpai skrg.

I recently visited the Temple of Fine Arts in Brickfields to inquire about joining their Bharatanatyam classes as a complete beginner. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing.

When I arrived, I went to the admissions area, but no one seemed available or willing to assist with my registration or answer my questions. The overall vibe just didn’t feel welcoming at all..which was disheartening especially for someone new ..hoping to connect with Indian culture through dance.

I believe an institution dedicated to the arts especially one representing something as rich as Indian culture..should make an effort to be warm and approachable.Instead, I felt ignored and unwelcome which completely goes against the spirit of what such a cultural space should represent.

I sincerely hope the management considers having more approachable and helpful staff available to guide newcomers. Creating an inviting and supportive atmosphere is essential if we want future generations regardless of background to feel encouraged to explore and embrace Indian classical arts.

Attended the ‘Celebrating India-ASEAN Cultural Harmony’ event at the Shantanand Auditorium, Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur, and it was a vibrant cultural experience! Hosted by the High Commission of India and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, the event showcased deep India-ASEAN ties through mesmerizing performances. The auditorium, a 500-seat gem in the heart of Brickfields, offered a warm, intimate setting with excellent acoustics and a clear view of the stage. The program featured a stunning Joget dance from Malaysia, Cambodia’s Coconut dance, the Bamboo dance from India’s Northeast, and a colorful retelling of the Ramayana, all highlighting shared heritage. Over 600 guests, including diplomats and locals, filled the space with energy. The staff were courteous, ensuring smooth entry and seating. The venue’s cultural significance, nestled near temples and the Klang River, added to the charm. Free entry made it accessible, though early arrival is advised for prime seats. A truly enriching evening of art and unity! #TempleOfFineArts #IndiaASEAN #CulturalHarmony

Buffet Vegetarian. RM30 for the buffet lunch and if you order Bru Coffee is separate charges. Staff are friendly, superb classic ambience, good music and good food. You should go and try out for yourself. They have lunch and dinner.

high-end culture with tickets at common-man prices, which is to say, free. the perspective is, in many cases, modern, multi-cultural and progressive.

the foundation that runs the place underwrites the salaries of the teaching and performing staff. there is also a significant volunteer cohort.

there are two places to dine: an all-you-can-eat restaurant, and a pay-what-you-will canteen. both are vegetarian, with the former a posh incarnation thereof.

Top production space for the arts. Helping to preserve traditional indian dance and song for generations.
Vegetarian buffet is excellent at the restaurant on the ground floor. Just remember to give generously based on the amount you eat.
