Recommend as your first stop in Taiping, with brief history of the town's beginning in tin mining, Larut Wars and later the first administrative place of British rule, the 40 historical Firsts in Taiping (first museum, first English church etc. in the country), heritage trail and all attractions/destinations in Taiping.

Free admission, with water dispenser to refill your water bottle, recycle bins and unique souvenirs of the city. The building used to be The Topology and Survey Office.

This gallery serves as a tourist information center. Anyone who has just arrived in Taiping can benefit from stopping by, as it provides a comprehensive overview of what the city has to offer, helping them plan their visit accordingly. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions visitors might have about the historic city.

The building features beautiful colonial architecture, but due to weather damage, I was unable to go up the stairs to the first floor during my visit, as it was still under maintenance.

A good place to visit before you start exploring Taiping town. Friendly staff and you can get good informative brochures to plan your Taiping Heritage Walk as well as other places of interest. The building itself is a restored former government office and don’t forget to see the Strong Room built in 1891. Park at the side of the Galeri.

来到这里，感觉有点荒凉，除了火车头，行人天桥和站牌，好像没什么好看！但这里绝对是值得来看看的，就冲着那座从大山脚旧火车站搬过来而拥有百年历史(建于1899年)的维多利亚式行人天桥，就值回一切了！

Un lieu chargé d'histoire, de l'histoire de Taiping. Une locomotive devant, le bâtiment était fermé. Dommage que l'on ne puisse plus accéder à l'intérieur de la locomotive ni accéder à la passerelle (magnifique) qui est aujourd'hui interdite d'accès pour des raisons de sécurité. Accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Un passage nécessaire si l'on veut mieux découvrir la ville et son histoire.

This Taiping Town Gallery acts as a tourist information center with some interesting exhibits. A strong room with antique safe boxes is one of the attractions. There, according to the helpful staff, the strong room was used to keep maps and important documents during the colonial era. Come here and get more information of Taiping before exploring the town. Entrance free.
