We visited the home
Minutes ago to treat the children to Kentucky fried chicken. The old lady chitra was very rude and demanded that we buy 8 boxes of Kentucky for the helpers. She refuse to help when we said we are only treating the children’. She was very rude and even verbally abuse the small kid and shouted at the big boy . A report to the welfare home must be raised and the chief minister of Penang too as the children safety and welfare is the outmost priority. It is a very abussive environment.

My initial visit to Penang Shan Children Home was a bit daunting, but the moment I met the children and the kind aunty, my heart melted. The warmth and resilience of these kids, despite their circumstances, was truly inspiring.

Me, my wife are working in the social welfare field in Australia and decided to give this children’s home a visit and deliver some chocolates and basic groceries for the kids. We learnt the home was donated by a kind soul to help look after children from disadvantaged backgrounds and we met the children whilst we were there. The manager is doing a great job with these kids whom we’re all well spoken in English when speaking to us. We definitely want to stay connected with this Ngo and children and want to learn more about the disability service also located just opposite this home. The home provides structured programs for the kids and also board and lodging and has a strong education focus to give the children a great basis in life.

This guy Andrew very rude. My kid wants to give free volunteer service to teach the children English or to read to them. He doesn’t seem to welcome that and he said the children there only need guidance for Bahasa when i told him my kid doesn’t understand bahasa. He refused to discuss on the phone and very unfriendly.
Hello Shan’s chidren home, do you know that my daughter’s school has donated a lot of stuffs to your home? I wonder how you treat those kids when you can’t even be friendly and helpful to parents?

We booked earlier to bring food to the home .but on that day Sunday 18th of feb..we went there ..they said children went to last min plan activity..so there were only 4 or 5 children only ..We cut cake and ate the food with the children..The children were so friendly..the expression was nice..but sadly the rest of the kids was not there .they promised to send the pics of kids eating the food that we brought ..but till now we didnt received .we called them .they said will send to us asap .till now no updates ..
