An Unforgettable Jungle Experience at Uncle Tan's!

Our stay at Uncle Tan's was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the entire team. The atmosphere was warm, authentic, and filled with a deep love for nature and the surrounding wildlife.

The accommodation truly immersed us in jungle life—simple, but full of charm and character. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and full of variety. You could really feel the care that went into preparing the food.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible guide, Rue. He welcomed us into his jungle with so much warmth and made us feel right at home. Rue’s passion for the environment and wildlife was contagious, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Thanks to his sharp eyes and deep knowledge, we got to witness various monkeys, including the majestic orangutans, spotted a few crocodiles, and even enjoyed stargazing from the boat under the clearest night sky imaginable.

Whether it was a peaceful river cruise or an exciting jungle walk, Rue made every moment count. We felt safe, inspired, and incredibly grateful to have had him as our guide.

If you're looking for a real adventure and a heartfelt connection with nature and the people who protect it, Uncle Tan's is absolutely the place to be. It was a highlight of our trip and we would recommend it to anyone without hesitation!

Authentic jungle experience. The guides are absolutely incredible and really go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We saw so many animals over our stay. The food is also really nice and included in the cost. Accommodation is basic but reflective of the price. We also got to go fishing for a small additional fee which was great.

We have spent three amazing days here. Our excellent guide Em (or M.) made sure that we are safe and everyone sees every animal that we found. Don't expect luxury. But here you can intensively experience the jungle. The food was also really good. Thanks a lot for your hospitality and guidance. It is a really peaceful feeling to be off grid for a moment. Can't wait to come back again.

Superb experience, Rul is super nice and does his best to find wildlife.
The location means wildlife is almost guaranteed, we saw 4 of the big 5 and were always alone (no other boats)
The food was great!
The accommodation is however spartan, especially the bathrooms as there is no fresh water, only river water pumped directly and rain water for brushing teeths. Taking a shower implies using a bucket.
There is a small shop to buy water and snacks, you can also rent boots, flashlights and pillows.
